"Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering." Hebrews 13:1-3

Care of Resettled Children

A Perfect Injustice has resettled over 100 street children home with their biological families. API commits to the long-term care of any child that they resettle off of the streets until the time that they are able to launch out successfully as an adult. Often this process is very complicated and we are very grateful for the wise social workers and counselors we have on our API team here in Uganda who navigate the healing process between children and their families and help former street children pursue their dreams of a brighter future. API puts former street children in excellent boarding schools (as there has yet to be a good school near to a street child that we have resettled) and continues to provide for all of their needs.

We provide care and support to resettled children by:
  • Paying school fees
  • Providing school requirements
  • Ensure they are being fed
  • Regular medical care
  • Regular school and home visits from our social workers
  • Counseling
  • Spiritual discipleship
  • Providing basic needs (mattresses, clothing, mosquito nets, hygiene products)
  • Family camps twice a year (week of discipleship, counseling, and fun)

The majority of our boys come from Muslim backgrounds and have been exposed to the Gospel through API. Many of them now claim faith in Jesus Christ. We praise God for that!

Choosing to sponsor a resettled child would allow a boy to leave the streets and be once again a part of his family. It would also help to teach and provide for that family the means to take care of him, if needed. This boy would no longer need to work all day or fear for his safety.  You are not only providing for a child, but for a family.

"And if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday." Isaiah 58:10
